On the April 13, 2006 Dr. Kevin Harriott, Competition Bureau Chief, delivered a lecture to final year students of the Law Faculty (more specifically, those studying the Competition Law Course), at the Cave Hill Campus, University of the West Indies, on the subject of "Providing Economic Evidence for Anti-Competitive Practices". A summary of his presentation is attached.
"FTC participates in Read Across Jamaica" May 10, 2006 , marked ‘Read Across Jamaica Day’, a program implemented by the Ministry of Youth and Education to heighten students’ interest in reading, and emphasize the importance of literacy as a mark of social development in our country.
The Staff of the Fair Trading Commission viewed the event as an opportunity to introduce the children to important concepts about competition policy, as they represent our future business leaders and consumers.
